How to tighten the screws on the wooden frame for heavy softwood door?

We have a heavy door with 3 hinges mounted to a frame of softwood. The door was badly blocked with the result that the screws were removed from the frame of softwood. The screws will not "bite" into the wood and can not be more stringent. Expansion plugs are like "Molly" the only solution to this? Or, the holes can be filled with a wooden material to allow that wood screws to be used again?

carpenter an old trick is to use golf tees [are made of a dense forest very difficult]. insert in the screw holes, breaking them so that the screws do not protrude and reinstall. if this doesn't work use longer screws will extend under whihch last door 2×4. good luck
