How do you fix a leak pool suction line?

My pool loses water only when the pool pump is off. When initially turn the pool pump air bubbles out of the lines for about 5 minutes. After doing some research, seems to have a suction line leak. Has anyone had success using the Fix "Marligs-a-drain" of products? It is an aspiration, a line of flight of the pool easy fix? How much I expect to pay if you hire someone to fix it? Thanks in advance!

1 shows the drain? Are you in line or is on a connection? There are several ways to fix the leak just depends on what type you have. If the line is leaking can cut part escapes out and put in a connecting piece. If the connection / S are filter may need to tape and plumbers putty or a new connection or just a simple adjustment?? 1st find leak and go from there.
