Can anyone advise of 1896 price gauge ASHCROFT WATER PRESSURE?
This indicator is made of cast iron or type and says: L. Booth & Sons. Los Angeles, Cal. Ashcroft Mfg. Co Registered April 12.1896 pounds of water pressure is 0-200 and 0-460 feet in the column.
There is little value in a pressure indicator of age. However, Ashcroft is one of the best known instrument makers even today, so either one of its distributors may be interested (ashcroft.com visit). If you want to replace and I know how much it would cost, depending on your needs. At 200psi, this is a Bourdon tube gauge, so should not be too expensive for a typical + / -2% accuracy gauge (however, the 460'WC not seem to coincide with the range). Price changes depending on the necessary precision and different sizes of boxes, materials and styles. You should call a local industrial distributor for details. Good luck!
